I frequently get letters (again today) from mothers whose lives, and their children’s lives, have been severely impacted by the power of mediator/evaluator Janelle Burrill.  Things are so bad in the family courts in this part of California that the California State Legislature passed a bill to provide funding to investigate problems here:

State orders audit of Marin family court

Prodded by California Sen. Mark Leno and other lawmakers, the state Joint Legislative Audit Committee voted Wednesday to investigate the family courts in Marin and Sacramento counties.  The audit will focus on the use, and potential misuse, of court-appointed specialists in family-law disputes, such as mediators, investigators and therapists.

Critics say such appointees can form incestuous and incompetent networks more concerned with generating fees than helping children through painful custody fights.  “It becomes a service mill, a cottage industry of sorts,” Leno said in an interview Wednesday. “Maybe state law needs to be changed.”

Marin and Sacramento counties were chosen for the audit because of the number of litigants reporting problems and filing complaints, said Ali Bay, a spokeswoman for Leno. But any changes recommended by the auditors could inspire new statewide legislation.  The audit is expected to take four months and cost about $160,000. The start date has not been determined.  Leno said that because of the state budget crisis, the audit committee – which consists of seven assembly members and seven senators – could only approve two audits Wednesday. Six were under consideration, he said.

Leno, a Democrat representing Marin and parts of San Francisco and Sonoma County, said the committee voted unanimously for the family court audit, demonstrating the widespread doubts about the system.

Now, knowing that many, many mothers have lost their children because of the recommendations of this person, I started to think…as a scientist…what could make a person want to destroy so many women’s lives, so consistently.  I was thinking maybe a “Cleopatra Complex” was a possibility here, and I started looking into it.  Surprise, surprise, there is such a complex:

The Cleopatra Complex:  Another noteworthy change in women has been a growing fear of losing their feminine allure.  “I am losing my looks” tops the list of anxieties that are stronger now than a decade ago.  “I am losing my figure” is third.  These issues worry even wives and mothers.  They hate being called aunties.  They don’t want to lose their sex appeal.

Could this be a possibility?  Is this why she “chooses” so many fathers over mothers?

Victims of Janelle Burrill

We do know that Janelle Burrill is particularly fond of fathers.  She wrote a book from their perspective.

The amount of victims she has affected is staggering.   As an author on a book about so-called “parental alienation syndrome” she must be aware that it has been debunked by American Judge’s Association, the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, the American Medical Association, the American Psychological Association, and the National District Attorney’s Association, and that family court judges were recently warned against accepting claims of it in court cases.

Please get ahold of me at rightsformothers@gmail.com and we will work through details of this support group to exchange ideas to fix what she has broken in your children’s lives.
